Environmental Threats

Over-fishing, oil-spill risk, noise, toxic run-off, sewage, acidification, species loss, shoreline armoring… mostly this all boils down to too many people. And too many people living irresponsibly (i.e., non-sustainably).

Cultural Issues

I think we need to learn to value nature (the Salish Sea included) more and be willing to sacrifice and reduce so as to mitigate our impact. Harvest fewer fish, drive fewer cars, less shipping traffic, fewer trains…

 Stewardship

That everything we do has an impact on the Salish Sea. Every mile we drive, every leaky transmission, every car wash… the Salish Sea is downstream from everything we do.
